It's a Bird, It's a Plane, It's...

Despite age or occupation, everyone has secretly dreamt of having a legendary superpower.  Movies like The Dark Knight RisesSpiderman and Man of Steel influence our wish to fly, read minds, be invisible and have superhuman strength, even more.

Each weekend, the Lowe’s Racing team exerts their superpowers to create a fast Lowe’s Chevy SS at the racetrack. From the engineers, mechanics and pit crew, each member of the Lowe’s Racing team uses their superpower to get Jimmie Johnson and the No.48 Lowe's racing machine to Victory Lane.

For this week’s crew article we asked the guys if they could have one superpower, what would it be. See what they said below and let us know your thoughts!

  • Peter Michel (engineer) and Austin Konetski (mechanic) – We would like to be able to read minds!       [Trouble!]
  • Chad Kohn (backup hauler driver) – Night vision    [What a good fit for you!]
  • Ron Malec (car chief), Brandon Harder (gasman), T.J. Ford (backup gasman) and Kyle Bazzell (hauler driver) – Invisibility   [ Chad would not like this.]
  • Lance Munksgard (pit crew coach) – Superhuman speed
  • Chris Krieg (pit crew coach), David Elenz (engineer), R.J. Barnette (front tire carrier), Andrew Childers (jackman), Ryan Patton (rear tire carrier),  and Matt Tyrrell (tire carrier) – Flying
  • John Boydston (engine tuner) – ESP
  • Greg Morin (pit crew coach) and Calvin Teague (rear tire changer) – Invincibility
  • Earl Barban (spotter) – Strength                                  [Don't you already have that?!]
