Jimmie Jam Chicago

What do you love more than racing? Hopefully nothing, but if you’re like most people, music and a night out on the town would top the list. How about combining all three?

You have that chance if you attend the next Jimmie Jam in Chicago, IL! Jimmie Jam is a unique private concert series that makes a few stops along the NASCAR route throughout the season. The upcoming show on Friday, September 14 will feature the band Cheap Trick at the famed House of Blues in downtown Chicago. Cheap Trick is best known for the smash hits “I Want You to Want Me,” “Surrender,” and “The Flame.” They also wrote and performed the theme song for Comedy Central’s The Colbert Report.

Guests at Jimmie Jam Chicago will be able to participate in a Q&A with the five-time NASCAR Sprint Cup Series champion and driver of the Lowe’s No. 48 Chevrolet, Jimmie Johnson.  All attendees will also receive a limited-edition 2012 Jimmie Jam poster designed by famed NASCAR artist Sam Bass. For more information on his work, visit:  http://www.sambass.com.

Everyone’s first three drinks of choice are included and other beverages will be available for purchase. All attendees must be 21 years or older to enter the venue. IDs will be checked at the door to verify age.

Jimmie Jam is usually a private event, but Team Lowe’s Racing is opening it up to a few lucky fans and helping out the Jimmie Johnson Foundation (JJF) in the process. Fans of Cheap Trick and Jimmie alike now have the opportunity to bid on sets of tickets to the event through JJF’s eBay auction website. For more information on the ebay auctions and to bid on tickets, visit: www.ebay.com/jimmiejohnson.

The schedule for the Chicago event is below.

  • 8:30pm - Doors open at the House of Blues
