Lowes Renews Kobalt Entitlement

Lowe’s Companies Inc. will continue its successful partnership with Las Vegas Motor Speedway by remaining the title sponsor of its NASCAR Sprint Cup Series race. An extension of the agreement was announced Friday, March 8 in Las Vegas as the Kobalt Tools 400 weekend kicked off.

“Lowe’s is a company with a long and storied history in NASCAR, and has been a wonderful partner for the past three years,” said LVMS president Chris Powell. “We’re very excited that they have decided to extend the agreement, and we’re looking forward to helping Lowe’s build its brand within the NASCAR community and beyond.”

The event, which has been known as the Kobalt Tools 400 since the partnership began in 2011, has been one of the best-attended and highest-rated events on the NASCAR Sprint Cup circuit. The race has ranked in the top five in both attendance and ratings over the past 10 years.

“Spring is an exciting time of year for Lowe’s so adding the excitement of the Las Vegas race is a great opportunity to engage our customers and highlight the Kobalt brand,” said Tom Lamb, Lowe’s Chief Marketing Officer. ”We have enjoyed our relationship with Las Vegas Motor Speedway and look forward to it continuing.”
