The Sprint Unlimited didn't bring quite the result the No. 48 Lowe's team was hoping for Saturday night at Daytona (Fla.) International Speedway. After only 14 laps, Jimmie Johnson was caught up in an unfortunate incident and was unable to continue. However, crew chief Chad Knaus was optimistic on the radio about the remaining on-track activity, "we stuck to our plan, everything was going fine. We've got a good racecar for the 500."
Next up at Daytona is qualifying for the 55th running of the Daytona 500, and Johnson will go out 33rd. Coverage for Sunday's qualifying session will be provided by FOX, starting at 1 p.m. ET.
