After a tough finish last week in Daytona, and with an off-week on the horizon, Jimmie Johnson and Team Lowe's Racing will take the track in Loudon looking to regain their momentum on the track.
What is the key to getting around New Hampshire?
“It’s a tricky track with the lack of banking and the tight, fast corners. I was able to sweep it there one year and, since then, we’ve been OK. It’s a tough track. I think, for a good day, it’s all about good fuel mileage and good track position.”
New Hampshire has a unique for its race-winner – a lobster. What are your thoughts on this special trophy?
“It is when we won there the last time they had the lobster and he was an old guy, he was big. I told them to throw him back in the water. Then it showed up on a board. I was like, ‘Man, if I knew you guys were going to take him down, I would have enjoyed him and would have eaten him.’ It’s an interesting trophy. I wasn’t so eager to grab it by the claws and hang onto it in victory lane. He didn’t seem too happy to be out of the water.”
